South London

This South London home has been nearly two years in the making, and seeing it come together feels incredibly rewarding. It may seem understated at first, but there’s a quiet depth to it also has a sense of calm that unfolds slowly, just like the design process itself.

The client had a beautiful collection of mid-century furniture, and we wanted to honour that with lighting that felt gentle and intentional. Nothing theatrical just warm, layered light that brings out the textures and tones without overpowering the space. Every decision, from the colour palette to the materials, was about creating balance: warmth without clutter, atmosphere without noise.

The garden plays a key role in that feeling. The timber decking, soft planting, and integrated lighting create a peaceful outdoor moment that connects seamlessly to the interior. The folding glass doors open wide, letting the greenery and natural light spill into the dining area, where soft wood tones and a sculptural pendant add to the sense of ease.

Inside, the reading nook is one of the most personal spaces — a quiet corner with backlit shelves, a bold red cushion, and a desk that invites slow mornings or late-night thoughts. It’s a space that feels lived-in and loved.
